Dried Flower Wreath - Making Communion Wreath With Silk Flowers

The Holy Communion refers to the Eucharist and the wine that some Christians take as a symbol of the body and blood of the Christ. The Holy Communion is also a symbol of the Christ’s body. The Christians transform through their prayer into the physical body of Christ. The Holy Communion is also Christ’s last supper. The Christians follow the first Holy Communion at the age of seven or eight. This is the right age for communion according to the Christians. In other Christian value all members of the church use bread and wine.

Communion is once again offer on the Easter Sunday. That is three days after Christ’s resurrection.

Are you interested in making a communion wreath with dried delphinium? Then collect the following materials:

  • Dried blue delphinium (4)
  • Floral wire
  • Limonium
  • Muscari
  • Veronica
  • Blue satin ribbons
  • Floral tape

Measure the head to determiner how long the head wreath needs to fit well. Cut the floral wire in two pieces about 6”. Twist the two long piece of the floral wire together. Remember that the head wreath should not cover the entire head. Leave the back of the wreath empty.

Cover the twisted wire with floral tape. Wrap the wreath in such a way that the wire is not visible. While wrapping overlap the ends of the tape so that the wire is invisible. Tie a knot at the end of the floral wire. The knots will protect the flowers from falling off the half wreath.

Now start placing the veronica and the Muscari in the wreath. See that they should face the same direction. You can also make some of them face outwards. Remember to leave some gaps in between the foliage.

In the gaps that are left add limonium. Secure the foliage with floral wire. While securing the foliage with the floral wire remember that the materials remain intact. Its time to place the dried blue delphinium after all the foliage is attached.

Place the flowers at certain gaps. Make two small bows and attach them at the end of the wreath base. Leave some part of the ribbons dangling so that it becomes easy to tie.
