Dried Flower Wreath - Ways Of Making A Red Cross Wreath

Red cross is an international organization that works for the poor and needy people all over the world. This organization provides emergency assistance; disaster relief and education all round the world. They offer their service in different areas like community services to help the needy, communication services and comfort for military members and family members, blood donation, educational programs, and international relief and development programs.

Let us honor this great organization with a dried tulip wreath. For making a dried tulip wreath gather the following materials:

  • Willow wreath about 12 to 14”
  • Dried tulips (pink, yellow, lavender, white, and blue.)
  • Baby’s breath
  • Greenery
  • Ribbon
  • Small bunnies, baby ducks, baby chicks
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Wreath hanger.

At first Place a piece of newspaper on the table where you are going to work. This will save your workspace from hot glue.

Now take the willow wreath on which you are going to work. Take some beige straw and add them on the willow wreath. This will act like an anchor for the flowers in place. Apply some hot glue at the base of the wreath and also inside the frame and very softly push the moss into the place.

Take two ribbons and wrap them around the wreath. Continue wrapping the ribbon all over the wreath starting from the top of the wreath. This will hold the moss in place and also act like an anchor. Leave a gap of at least 3” in between each piece of ribbon.

Now start placing the dried flowers in the wreath. Cut the stems of the dried tulips. Use craft scissors to cut the firm stems of the dried tulips. Cut the stems of the flowers in such a way that you can insert them in the willow as the bud itself will not be flat against the wreath.

Use glue to insert the dried flowers in the willow wreath. The ribbon will hold the flowers in place and the moss will cover the stem. Combine the proper colors of the dried flowers to make the wreath look attractive. Fill the empty gaps with buds once you are satisfied with the placement of the dried flowers. You can also add filler flowers to make your wreath look attractive.

Cut the ribbon and make a bow. Tie the bow at the top of the wreath. Now hang the wreath on the door or on the wall.
