Measure the head to determiner how long the head wreath needs to fit well. Cut the floral wire in two pieces about 6”. Twist the two long piece of the floral wire together. Remember that the head wreath should not cover the entire head. Leave the back of the wreath empty.

Now start placing the veronica and the Muscari in the wreath. See that they should face the same direction. You can also make some of them face outwards. Remember to leave some gaps in between the foliage.

In the gaps that are left add limonium. Secure the foliage with floral wire. While securing the foliage with the floral wire remember that the materials remain intact. Its time to place the dried blue delphinium after all the foliage is attached.

Place the flowers at certain gaps. Make two small bows and attach them at the end of the wreath base. Leave some part of the ribbons dangling so that it becomes easy to tie.

Dried Flower Wreath - How To Make A Chrysanthemum Good Friday Wreath

Christians celebrate Good Friday to commemorate the arrest, crucifixion and death of Our Savior on this day, centuries ago. Christians believed that on this Day, Christ ascended to Heaven. Believers keep fast and observe the Day both as a day of celebration and as Day of mourning. In many Churches, staff cover all pictures, statutes, and cross in mourning black; the chancel and altar coverings replaced with black and altar candles are extinguished. Throughout Saturday, everything remains in this state, but always replaced with white before sunrise on Sunday.

 Materials:

Straw wreath

Grapevines or any other vine

Dried yellow carnations

Dried white chrysanthemums

Green foliage like ivy, fern

Green leaves

A 6-7 inches cross attached to a white string

2 miniature Good Friday cards

Florist wire

Floral pins

Floral tape

Hot glue

Instructions:

Wrap the vines on the straw wreath and attach them with floral wire.

With the hot glue secure the green leaves and foliage to the wreath but do not overcrowd it.

Now, start preparing the flowers.

Cut the flower heads from the stems and decide on the color arrangement. You may arrange the yellow flowers in the center flanked by two circles of white flowers or vice-versa.

Here, we have chosen the former. For this, apply hot glue to the base of each white chrysanthemum flower head and attach them in a circular fashion to the outermost circle of the wreath.

Next, apply hot glue to the yellow carnation flower heads and attach them to the inner circle of the wreath. Take care not to leave any space between the chrysanthemum circle and the carnation circle.

Arrange the remaining white chrysanthemums to the remaining circular space left in the wreath. All the three flower circles must be closely arranged to give a fuller look to the wreath.

Hang the cross by tying it to the top of the wreath. The cross should dangle in the center hole of the wreath.

Make or buy 2 miniature Good Friday cards and pin them on both sides of the wreath.

Make 2 potpourri sachets and hide them in the flowers. The fragrance of the flowers will remind us of the sacrifice of Jesus for the sake of humanity.

Dried Flower Wreath - How To Make A Dried Felicitation Wreath

Felicitation wreaths are a great way to honor a special guest or dignitary. You can make them with fresh or dried flowers, silk flowers or wood flowers. Though felicitation wreaths are colorful, there is always a certain amount of elegance and dignity in the presentation.

Materials you will need:

  • Circular Styrofoam wreath
  • A large bunch of dried carnations
  • Vines
  • Dried roses
  • Dried gerberas
  • Ribbon
  • Strong glue
  • Scissors

You may follow the simple steps:

  1. carefully cut some of the flowers and foliage to 6-8 inches in length. Cut the flower heads of the remaining carnations and keep them aside.

  1. Soak your floral wreath base into water for some time and take it out. Take care not to over soak the wreath, as it will cause the arrangement to drip.

  1. Wrap the foam with the vines and attach them to the wreath with floral tape. Arrange the vines close to each other so that the foam is not visible at all.

  1. Tie the carnations, roses and gerberas into separate bunches with floral tape or twine. Dried flowers are a bit brittle, so do not tie the flowetrs too tightly or they may break. You may also mix the flowers in the same bunch. Wrap an ivory ribbon over the tape.
  1. Place each bunch of carnations, roses and gerberas alternately on the vine covered wreath base and tie them firmly with twine or florist wire. Snip off the excess wire and tuck the tail of the wire inside the vine.
  1. Insert or attach any decorative leaves or foliage in and around the bunches with hot glue or floral tape. This will make the wreath look fuller, professional and will also conceal the twines on the bunches.
  1. Now you may decorate the wreath with the flower heads. For this you may drive a long straight pin through a flower and pin it to the wreath. If you are using silk flower heads, apply some glue to the base of each flower head and attach it to the wreath.
  1. you may decorate the wreath further with little ribbons and ornamental grasses. Though this wreath is basically made of dried flowers , you may also combine fresh flowers and twigs to give a certain uniqueness to the wreath.
